Write on! Write Strong! Over a slice of Pie.

Over a slice of pie, I’d tell you writing is contagious, addictive, and magical. Don’t write because of fame or fortune. Write because it’s fun and it is something you love to do! Let the inspiration take root. Don’t write a book from beginning to end.  Unload that brain into where ever it takes you. Dedicate yourself to the craft.

Over a slice of pie, I’d tell you your style is just as important. Script words into paragraphs…paragraphs into pages…pages into a story. Is there anything better?  Paragraphs need to be as beautiful as your writing. They need to be a map to the stars…the glare to the sun. Your words should be the sugary light among the stars.

Over a slice of pie, I’d tell you have great ideas…so communicate them…describe them in devilish details.  Write on! Write Strong! Write and read a lot! Even in times of writers block, sit down and write, write, write.

Over a slice of pie, I’d say wowsa…why aren’t you published? Rejection is painfully hard…for all of us. And until we find our voice and gain our chance, I’d say keep on. Accept the harsh reality of those slush piles and keep reading and writing to improve your voice. Remember your purpose to Write on! Write Strong!
